Course Description: English as a Second Language (ESL) is a course designed to promote language acquisition for limited English proficient students in grades 9-12. This course serves students from various language backgrounds and emphasizes improvement in all four language domains – listening, speaking, reading, and writing. ESL allows students to fulfill graduation requirements while simultaneously learning English. This course is adaptive to specific student needs and level of English language proficiency. Students will receive ESL services until proper exit requirements are met.
Grading Scale: ESL will use the Morris Community High School grading scale.
