Course Description: Transitional U.S. History and Transitional Western Civilization are two unique courses designed to introduce a broad scope of history while simultaneously promoting language acquisition for students in grades 9-12. These courses serve students from various language backgrounds and emphasize improvement in all four language domains – listening, speaking, reading, and writing – through historical content. These courses are adaptive to specific student need and level of English language proficiency. Students will receive ESL services until proper exit requirements are met.
Grading Scale: Transitional US History and Transitional Western Civilization will use the Morris Community High School grading scale.
